How big is a wolf's heart? Is it the same size of a humans, or a hyena? Or neither... It must be big since they can run long distances right?

It depends. There are average heart sizes for each organism (that contains a heart), but heart sizes will also vary within each species. The factors that influence heart size is based on gender, age, height, and weight.

Seeing as larger dog breeds are roughly around the same size as wolves (in height and weight), they would have about the same sized heart. Wolves in the wild range from 60-100 lbs, and some dog breeds are around that range as well. The case would be different if you were, for example, talking about a chihuahua. Their chest cavity of course would not be able to fit a heart the size of a larger dog/wolf. Dogs larger than wolves (about 100+ lbs) would probably have a heart a little bigger than a wolf, the weight being a factor.

In short, it depends on different factors such as height and weight, as well as age and gender.
