You will want to go to this link to see some of the surveillance video of the pups: http://www.acorn-online.com/news/publis ... 2823.shtmlLast Tuesday, while the world was celebrating Earth Day, a small miracle was happening in South Salem — one of 18 endangered Mexican gray wolves at the Wolf Conservation Center was giving birth. The pups, the first born at the center, were followed three days later by a second litter from a different mother, giving the center between eight and 10 pups to add to the 18 Mexican gray wolves already cared for.
The first litter, of about seven or eight pups, was birthed by F613, a nine-year-old wolf that had been transplanted to the center from the Cincinnati Zoo in November. The second litter, containing only one or two pups, was birthed by the 11-year-old F516, which has been at the center longer.
“It’s amazing,” Executive Director Deborah Heineman told The Ledger. “We were very hopeful, because there was no reason to think they wouldn’t breed, especially since the Cincinnati lady was so prolific last year.”
The births have prompted the center to expand its facilities, adding one new enclosure. The endangered Mexican gray wolves, as well as a breeding pair of endangered red wolves, are kept in enclosures away from visitors to the center, so as not to acclimatize them to humans. Eventually, it is possible for some of these wolves to be returned to the wild.

More Baileyis!
I hope they successfully make it to the wild someday, and that they contribute to the reintroduction effort to the best of their ability! (Of course, they have no way of knowing if they are or not...XD)

Rest in peace, sisters Lakota and Mackenzie
