I don’t see a need for debate guidelines. Every situation is different and I think the discretion of what constitutes debate and/or interference in debate is best left to the moderators. For example, if there were sudden bouts of conflict to occur rather frequently, our basis of how we evaluate debates may change because we’d want to be proactive rather than reactive.
