General Owl Discussion

Post by loyaldog214 » Thu Aug 13, 2009 8:24 am

xD I would have to say mine is a Spotted Owl or Strix occidentalis. xD I just think they are pretty and overall cool owls.

Also, any Guardian of Ga'Hoole fans out there? If so, I hear their making a movie! Which, I hope my pretty Strix Occidentalis's are given enough credit in.

My favorite type of owl would probably be the Great Horned Owls, Burrowing Owls, or the Elf Owl, can't choose which one. Also, I did hear about the movie that's coming out, but let's try to stay on topic. ^_-

I know, I was just adding that because I'm excited about the movie coming out and it technically had to do with my liking of Spotted owls =P.
Cool, yeah I like both tyto alba and Strix occidentalis, most of my friends say "tyto alba is the prettiest" without having a clue as to which is what xD

The Elf Owl (Micrathene whitneyi) is my favorite type of owl, just because they are small and cute-looking.

Ah, well I have to say that my favourite owl is the snow owl, because of the color...
EDIT: did I say color o_0 (points at my signature)... Maybe I should change that :P ...

I'm not a fan of owls, but if I had to pick...probably the snowy owl. I just love the white feathers.

I blame Harry Potter for all the people liking Snowy Owls (Bubo scandiacus). It is a beautiful owl, though.
