My favorite breed of bird would probably be the macaw. They have beautiful colors, and I think they are magnifascent.

Interesting, but could ya' maybe tone down the roleplaying just a tad?^^ It would be much appreciated~

Macaws are definitely beautiful birds, and I don't think anyone could say otherwise. I love seeing videos of them flying through the rainforests~

So, bird news with me.... well yesterday, for some reason I woke up around 6am. I had my window open, and what do you know? I heard a Barred Owl out in the distance somewhere, I think out in the forest next to the fields by my house. I haven't heard that owl in a while, but I became so ecstatic when I heard him again^^
Also too yesterday, two vultures decided to roost up on some houses in our cul-de-sac. I got a pretty close-up picture of one of them, but it took me by surprise because they are such large birds!

Amazing, Kivia! Barred owls are so pretty, and vultures are awesome. I know some people think of them as ugly, but I think of them as interesting creatures that are cute in their own special way.

I've been asking my mom for an African grey parrot. The obvious answer is no. It's too bad they cost $1,500 or more. I'm starting to do research on these beautiful birds, and I think the mutated ones with different colours do look quite pretty. But I wouldn't get a mutated one, since a friend of mine said the ones with unnatural colours may cost up to $9,000 or even a lot more. But I'd be happy with a normal one. That one, Alex, was amazing and it's very sad to know he died.

Actually, usually African Greys only cost up to $900 - $1,100, Timnehs being less expensive. Though African Greys take a LOT of commitment and a bunch of your time. They'll most likely live as long as you do, also, so it's sort of like bringing a kid home to live with you for the rest of your life that stays at the age of three. They are also known to be one of the more nippier breeds of parrots.
They are pretty, however. A bird store in Florida had a really sweet baby African Grey that would try and handfeed from your finger.
Though if you do with to talk more about pet birds and all that, there is a pet bird topic in the Pets board. :3

My favorite Birds are as follows:
Blue Jays
Cardinals
Woodpecker
Dive

We used to have a baby blue jay, for about 4 years, until it died, sadly. But we rescued it from our back yard cuz a black snake went up our Holley tree and decided to go after the babies so, we took care of it, and named it peeps ^^ more of a story, but it's too long XD

I was not aware you refer to bird spices as breed, odd... I apologize for rendering off topic, I must say from a ornithological position of focus, one of my preferred spices of Aviary is most likely the robin...
"A robin sits red chest in a cage, puts all heaven in a rage."- Sir William Blake
I also am rather fond of the Mockingbird...
"...Kill as many blue jays as you want Jem, but remember it is sin to kill a
Mockingbird."- To Kill a Mockingbird
But then again, my profession is not in ornithology... Far from it I can assure you.

I must agree. Barn owls and Bald eagles are in my top favorite birds list. Although I would say bluejays rather than crows as well as Hawks added onto the list. ^^

I must agree. Barn owls are quite adorable. I think I am drawn to owls because of their agile flying skills, long talons, and sharp round eyes. They are absolutely beautiful. I really admire the Arctic Owl.

My two favorite types of birds are great horned owls and hummingbirds.

I like the great horned owls because they are the most docile type of owls. They come around my house all the time and call out to each other. I like the hummingbirds because they are so pretty and fun to watch.
