Sugar Gliders!!!

Post by Spellbind » Fri Jun 11, 2010 9:32 am

I own three of these cute little critters. They are flying opossums from Australia and they are nocturnal. They are also marsupial animals meaning they have pouches! They are black and white with long 7 in. tails...I think....They mostly eat fruits, veggies, and insects!!!

Instead of double posting, just edit your last post.
I do not know much about these guys, so thank you for providing links! I know what they look like though, and they are certainly interesting in both their appearence and behavior.

Ah yes, sugar gliders; they are so adorable^^ There was a big stand in our mall a few months ago, and there were some folks there who were trying to sell them. I got a pamphlet, but sugar gliders are very expensive x3 They seem like a very fun pet to have though =3

This quote will probably be able to answer that:
The Sugar Glider is named for its preference for sweet foods and its ability to glide through the air, much like a flying squirrel.
That quote was from the Wikipedia source Spellbind provided above with the rest of the useful links ^^

I'm sure the Sugar glider had a good life. ^ ^

Sugar gliders are very funny. I watched some at a local zoo as they flung around on the branches. I also watched one on a TV show as it got caught on a fence. Luckily, some people found him and no harm was done to the animal. They released him shortly after.
