Aw, the owls are so cute! <3 Hopefully I'll be able to catch the owlets hatching from their eggs - it'd be a pretty amazing sight. C:

Glad to see a few of you are interested^^ I think I may post pics and such as well as time goes on, just when I see something interesting on the cam.
I believe they said that Hatching Watch will start sometime near February 12th, so I'll keep you all updated for when the first egg shows signs of hatching.

I forgot about the owls. D= I feel so ashamed.
The owls grown up! (Plus there is another owl in there currently is eating... probably a mouse)
It's really amazing, and there are eggs. :3 I can't wait to see them hatch!

I actually found about 5 other barn owl cams, though Mel and Sydney are of the best quality and have the most cams. I'll probably add the others on to the first post tomorrow.

But I thought I'd share a pic I took earlier; Sydney left with one of the treats in the box, and left Mel to do "eggsitting", even though he didn't really care. xD

It's funny though, because on Molly and McGee, McGee was almost never in the box. Mel though comes in all the time and hangs out with Sydney before going off to hunt more. It's really cute and almost strange how the relationships with different barn owl pairs differ.

Oh man Kivia, that is adorable<3 I don't know much about owls, but i'm surprised the dad returns so much to the eggs. I mean, you'd think he'd be hunting all the time or something. [and now i want to learn more about owls =3]

I guess I'm really into owls, particularly barn owls, just because they seem so similar to people in various ways, like how we're both monogamous and such. There's a lot you can learn from them. =3

And Adalae, that's pretty much what everyone saw with Molly and McGee- McGee was pretty much always gone, constantly hunting and out of the box. But Mel actually hangs out with Sydney and the eggs; when he was there actually last night alone with the eggs, he left right when Sydney came back, as if he wasn't going to leave the eggs until she came back. Such a good parent. xD
I'm more particularly interested in how it's going to work out with Mel and the chicks and how parenting will continue from there. I'm anxious to see how it all will work. =3 Just a few more days until hatch watch begins^^

In just a few minutes, I'll update the first page with more barn owl cams~

Yeah they do sound like really good parents, not leaving the kids home alone. What good owls they are.

Oi, finally got them up. So check out the first post for more cams^^
It's funny how most of them are in California, lulz. Must be a pretty healthy population of barn owls there.

Alright, updated the first post with another owl cam and edited some info for some of the cams. I think I'll start putting up news as well starting soon for Mel and Sydney.

Well M&S are down to 6 eggs; I'm not totally sure what happened to the other one, but Sydney apparently took care of it. The eggs should began hatching any day now~

EDIT: About to update the first page with a pic and some info.

EDIT: The first egg has hatched! Check out the first page for a bit more info~
