It would be cool if they could but i agree. humans should leave nature alone! I'm not some tree hugger but i care about our animals and places where humans have not even touched! i wish we still had the quagga... but no! humans had to hunt them to extinction! they should not go though with this. the mammoth thing.

I disagree with bringing them back. They went extinct naturally, so there's no point in bringing them back.
Avatar by me.

I support hunting.

Insults do not make for a valid argument.

I like the idea of using our advanced technology to learn more about the past. I feel the research and knowledge that we could potentially gain from this would out-weigh the bad that could possibly come. Of course, this isn't going to turn into a "Jurassic Park", so I'm not too worried that any bad will come of this project. I hope it is followed through, and in a few years we will be seeing the results.

This kind of thing fascinates me. I think doing this project can help us learn lots, especially that about the mammoth and its extinction although I'm not fully sire I agree with using frozen cells to create a new creature. I really hope, as failwolf said, that this project goes through. We should learn from our past and this we can do with today's technology. =]

Good luck, scientists! Resurrect those deceased mammoths! if there is going to be a mammoth at the local zoo, I will be the first to see it!

i read about this in national geographic. i think it is very interesting. im not sure if it is the right or wrong think to do, and im not going to get into aggreement or disagreements about it.
if they do succeed in it, it would be an amazing feet that everyone will remember. plus it would be cool to go see a mammoth in a zoo. x)
if they fail, then i guess we will all have to keep using our imagination about how they acted and actually looked when alive. (:
