The Okapi live exclusively in a small region of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Ituri rainforest, where a reservation is specially dedicated to him.

The chocolate acts like a drug on rabbits.

There are only two albino alligators in Europe, they live in the Crocodile Farm Pierrelatte. (It's not really an important fact about animals but I just learn it)

Ostriches eat pebbles to help digestion by grinding up the ingested food. Can you imagine eating pebbles?

Some vultures (or all, not quite sure) poop on their legs to cool themselves off. Nasty!!

Adding on to Sweetpea, Vultures urinate on their legs as a sun-screen from the sun, nasty indeed, but it works wonders for them. x3

I'll stick with SPF 50, thanks.

There is a species of vulture that only eats bone marrow. It will take the bone from a kill, fly way up in the air, then drop it so they can get into the bone marrow after it breaks.

otters are actually a subgroup of the weasel family wich als includes weasels, bagers, maritns etc. in north america only two species of otters are commenly found the sea otter and the nothern river otter

all seals sea lions and otters belong to the same group (the order carnivora) as dogs, cats, bears and weasels etc. the eared seals (a group of seals with external ears which inludes sea lions etc. were as the other group hair seals whitch includes elephant seals etc. do not)

eared seals and hair seals seem to have two different ancestors the eared seals seem to have a commen ancester with the bear while the hair seals seem to have a different ancestor which might be the ancestral member of the weasal

The Kiwi is the only species of bird to have its nostrils on the end of its beak, which helps it to smell and forage.

Male platypuses have poisonous spurs on their hind legs.

The canines on a clouded leopard are the largest of any other species of cat, in relative to body size.

First things off the top of my head. I love reading what you all have. =3

That would be the Lammergeier. And it doesn't eat just the marrow either, it eats the whole bone. Its stomach acid is base-1. That is stronger than battery acid!

I support hunting.

Insults do not make for a valid argument.

Honey bees have a special way of communication: dance. When a bee finds a certain place where there is a lot of pollen, it will fly back to the hive and move itself around in alternating circles to show how to get there.

Animals in the phylum Chordata, which are all vertebrates, are the only animals to have tongues.

When a crocodile does its "death roll", it can spin its entire body around 3 times a second.

Sperm whales are the largest toothed mammals in the world.

Pistol shrimp use their claws to make deafening cracks, with the sound being louder than a gun shot. They use this to stun prey.

Wild buffalo have an odd way of choosing where to go. They all stand facing random directions, and when most of them are facing one way, they start walking in that direction.

The saying "you eat like a sparrow" which has to do with someone not eating much at all is actually incorrect, sparrows have to eat 3/4 of their body weight daily.

Ah yes, Horseshoe Crabs are common along the beaches here in the spring and summer. Learned a lot about them from field trips when I was younger. =3

Naked Mole Rats are actually more closely related to animals like Guinea Pigs and Porcupines than rats.

Dolphins sleep by shutting down just half of their brain, while the other half stays active.

Arctic Terns have the longest regular migration, as they travel from the Arctic to the Antarctic and back again so that they are always experiencing the summer in those regions. This means that they see more daylight than any other animal as well.
