The Cervus canadensis otherwise known as the elk are quite interesting creatures. When i was little i saw then on animal planet and yelled: Mommy the animal is growing trees out of its head! But now i'm the sciencey animal loving person with bad grammar. So i know better and yes baby elk are quite cute. :D
Hunting is not destruction and i get annoyed by people all ways going like: OOO your killing the animals!
I just say: No. its population managment, and could someone who hates animals know so much about them?

I saw a documentry on irish elk, and I saw the skeleton of one at a museum in NZ. They were huge compared to elk today!
