Yes, I have.. I was walking and suddenly a butterfly landed on me, I was carrying my school books since I forgot my backpack that day, and it sat there frozen on my arm and when I got home I went inside and went to my room and the butterfly started to fly! I captured it in one of my old butterfly jars and took care of it from day on.

Yeah, sometimes brids come to our window and we were feeding them for maybe a few years, they come almost every day(except when there is cold weather) they don't allow us to touch them too much though.

I was close to touching a squirrel on my grandma's porch once. That's all I can recall. I once touched a dead baby rabbit that my dogs killed.

Since I work at a zoo now, I haven't yet touched any animals (which are not exclusively "wild" but are definitely exotic). I haven't heard of anyone doing so but I know we are supposed to catch smaller mammals that escape if we see them.

I've held a lot of wild birds. Just last week I held a lot of barn owl owlets for banding, and hopefully soon I'll do some mist netting and band some songbirds. Handled a lot of birds when I was an intern at a wild bird rescue two years ago as well (which I think I mentioned way back when on this topic).

Besides birds, I pick up turtles and frogs/toads all the time. Usually it's to move them out of the way or into safety.

I've caught tree frogs before, as well as baby birds.

Last summer I was working on invasive species management, and I had to raid the nests of a few House Sparrows (very invasive & aggressive species) to make room for the endangered Bluebird. Thankfully most of them were eggs, but there were a couple of times where the eggs had hatched...that was a bit heartbreaking to hear them peeping. :(

I had a squirrel make itself at home in the tree in our front lawn that my sister had caught.
"You want to try to take me under
Ill never bow until I'm six feet under
Listen to the sound of rolling thunder
You'll can't break me
You'll never take me down"

I picked up a wild turtle I once thought was a recently released pet, haha. It was clawing and hissing at me the entire time and it still somehow took me a good twenty minutes to realize that maybe it WASN'T a pet. Pfft.
we are not history yet.
we are happening now.
how miraculous is that?

i frequently touch raptors while volunteering, entirely for medical reasons, however.
