Re: New Forum Ranks
Yeah, but I'm looking at it realistically. XD as if you were a wolf. You are ina pack when you are a pup, you are in a pack when you are a yearling, and most dispersal wolves make their own packs, not join one. I'm just thinking it in a realistic way. Just my opinion.Blindseer wrote:not when joining a new pack.Shusuke wrote:I agree with SH, but, maybe swap dispersal and pack member? Keep in mind that scout, hunter, etc., are silly roleplay terms. I enjoy the ranks we have, but adding on to them would be great, other than changing them completely. I don't really have any ideas for the ranks, though.

Re: New Forum Ranks
I'm with Blindseer, I like the ranks, other than the fact that newer members misinterpret what it actually means.Blindseer wrote:I think all ranks should be kept, but it really ruins the fun when you go and post them before anyone actually earns them.
only thing is the later ranks people simetimes get confused and think people are actually what the rank describes.
I think that perhaps some ranks at 25,000 and 30,000 posts should be added, though I do not have any ideas for actual names.

Re: New Forum Ranks
Maybe you could pick at the begginning which path you take, human or wolf? On you profile page i mean. someone would have to come up with other human things to make the full sequence though...
90% of teenage girls would die if the Jonas Brothers jumped off a 20 story building. If your in the 10% that would get a chair and popcorn and say "Do a flip!" pass this on.

Great ideas! maybe swop around master hunter and novice leader? Because ppl may get confused if they see theyve gone from some kind of pack leader to hunter and they will think they have gone down a rankKoa wrote:All my ideas for now; incorparated some hunting skill ranks.

Good idea;
Newborn: 0-40
Pup:40-100
Aging Pup:100-300
Yearling:300-900
Older Yearling:900-1,500
Adult Wolf:1,500-3,000
Dispersal Wolf:3,000-5,000
New Pack Member:5,000-7,000
Pack Member:8,000-11,000
Senior Pack Member:11,000-14,000
Skilled Hunter:14,000-19,000
Master Hunter:19,000-22,000
Novice Pack Leader:22,000-27,000
Experienced Pack Leader:27,000-32,000
Senior Pack Leader:32,000+
Added another rank; Aging Pup. Seemed to leave a gap between Pup and Novice Hunter and something needed to fill it that represented growth or growing.
Sintact, "Master", sounds good to me for the second-to-last one.
edit: I'm going to try to add some more; the number of posts required seem to jump around a bit.
edit#2: Added more!

I like yours, Koa. Experienced Pack Leader sounds better that 'Master..' in my opinion.

Re: New Forum Ranks
Alright, I sent a summary of your ideas in to one of our wolf experts, and hopefully she'll get back to me as far as if anything is unrealistic or in an incorrect order. I also asked her to add any other ranks that she knows of in real wolf packs. So once she writes back, I'll put up a poll, where you all can vote on what should/shouldn't be included, and how many posts are needed to acquire each rank. Thanks for all the great ideas!
Thanks for the avatar, Silverness!
