Ditto. The game works perfectly on multiplayer, until someone joins the pack, they appear as dead wolves and I can't walk correctly, I keep spinning in circles...

I understand, my loss of my old file was my fault, so I really don't blame anybody else for that, 'cept for myself. *smacks head repeatedly*

Similar thing happened to me but not the dead wolves thing, I have only managed to sucessfully join one multiplayer pack once since I downloaded the game and when I started (I tried this twice) I was next a live rabbit and a dead rabbit and it was not locked onto the rabbit so it would only let me walk in circles. :x

Multiplayer: other wolves dead, player spins around

Post by WileE » Wed Feb 06, 2008 4:11 pm

It is very likely that this is caused when people are mixing versions of the game.

Try making sure that the pack leader also has the most recent version of the game.

I just tested that, the dead wolves and the spining in circles was fixed, but a weird thing happened... My wolf is a silver color, my friend's is orange-brown. In my game, both wolves was silver, in hers, both was orange-brown  Other than that, all was ok. Just the wolf colors was messed up.
I can make more tests if needed :)

thanks and some people on multiplayer were saying all the wolves were the same color. There are quite a few people who have not been to download the update (some didnt even know about it) so there are problems playing open games. oh well :|

Sorry, we should have included some version control to require new versions to play with each other.

The all wolves the same color is on our bug list and we'll fix it as soon as we can. We may or may not release another bug fix before the final "Deluxe" version of this level.

We have not set a hard date for that release, but it will be before the summer (as was asked above).

Cheers,
Steve

Thank you for this patch!! I especially love this fix on it:
"* Approaching an elk carcass will not get you magnetically stuck to the carcass with the green biting head turned on."

I had such a hard time with that so thank you for fixing it! :D

Well I'm gonna give it a shot. Here's hoping... Really hope it works, as over the course of the whole debacle with Vista I've lost a ton of respect for the Minnesota Zoo and the IWC.
